Microsoft Office is an office suite of interrelated desktop applications, servers, and services for the Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. It includes popular products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Unfortunately, the licensing options can be confusing and are somewhat complex.
- Faculty/Staff – There are three different options depending on who owns your device. For more information on which version to choose, click here.
- Students – There are two different options. Current students should use Office 365 and then access the graduation copy shortly before graduating. For more information, click here.
- Please note: Students are entitled to a free, perpetual graduation license of Microsoft Office, which will allow the installation of Office on one Mac or PC. This license will work after a student graduates. It is recommended that students only access the student option/graduation copy during their final semester since only one download and installation of one version is permitted.
There are separate license restrictions and activation methods for students and employees, but the functionality of the different versions of the software is identical.
